Dear Parishioners:
The season of Advent helps all of us to prepare for the blessed celebration of Christmas. During the season of Advent, we emphasize waiting expectantly. The scriptures focus on how the people of God waited in the past and how God was faithful to them in their waiting, how God fulfilled promises from long ago, and encourages us to wait for the fulfillment of all time when Christ returns. Let us pray for one another especially as the Covid-19 Virus for the past year and a half has caused us to be more separated from one another.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Blessed Christmas. During this season, we will be celebrating Hope, Peace, Love and Joy; I pray that all four of these would fill your life in every way this Christmas and beyond. I am grateful to God. This Christmas, as in all previous years, we celebrate “Immanuel” (God with us). Without Christ’s presence among us we would be lost. Through God’s presence working within us we are being healed, transformed, reconciled and made whole. I pray you have a fantastic and holy Christmas.
In this holy season may you know the touch of Jesus in your life. May you look into the eyes of those you encounter and see the Christ. May you know the deep peace of the Word spoken for you. May God touch your heart and bring you joy. Advent and Christmas Blessings!
