L.I.F.E. (Life Issues Facing Everyone)

Our ministry works to promote the Culture of Life in our parish and our community, in union with the Archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate and Missouri Catholic Conference, the local arm of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Our activities include: education on life issues and public policies, prayer opportunities to support the Culture of Life, annual Life Chain witness, promotion of Project Rachel and Project Joseph healing ministries, promotion of the archdiocesan Friends for Life and LifeLine Coalition annual collections, Mother’s Day gift bag distribution to women served by local pregnancy resource agencies, etc.

We hold meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm at the rectory. We welcome new members. All parishioners are invited to participate in our meetings and activities, which are publicized in the parish Sunday Bulletin.

PROJECT RACHEL & PROJECT JOSEPH

Women and/or families facing an untimely pregnancy will receive assistance from Birthright Counseling, if they just ask. Birthright has volunteers as well as licensed counselors to assist women with their needs. Assistance can include emotional support, medical and ultrasound referrals, clothing, monetary assistance for rent or food, adoption referrals, etc. Do not hesitate to ask for help.

Women and men who have experienced abortion frequently grieve their abortion decision—maybe not at first, but in due time. God is much bigger than and more powerful than abortion. He understands and forgives. Project Rachel for women and Project Joseph for men are ministries which the Church offers to those wounded by an abortion choice. Many good men and women have been assisted by these ministries and have found reconciliation and peace.
